Overview of ESOL Program at Deerfield Beach High School

The goal of the ESOL Program is to ensure that all students, entering Broward County Public Schools with varying levels of limited English proficiency, receive comparable and comprehensible instruction.

This instruction helps these students to develop communicative and academic skills necessary for meeting national, state, and district educational standards.

Multicultural Education aims at helping all students in the development of knowledge, abilities, and attitudes needed to survive and function effectively in a culturally diverse society. Cultural diversity enriches the society.

Multicultural Education also portrays the history and contributions of various groups to the development of the United States and the world.
